The recognition highlights years of hands-on involvement in issues affecting everyday residents throughout the city.
James helped draw attention to a dangerous bluff failure above Pacific Coast Highway by identifying and reporting visible ground movement and raising public awareness of the issue. The response helped accelerate safety measures and stabilization efforts, contributing to the protection of one of Southern California’s most important coastal roadways from a potentially devastating rockfall.
